The on site power plant of the Kraftwerk Obernburg GmbH cares for the entire energy generation at the ICO and is geared to the needs of the companies located on site and the economically viable marketing possibilities of electricity and heat for public utilities. This includes the inherent power as well as on behalf of clients including steam, cooling, nitrogen and compressed air, and the provision of water supply.
The CHP power plant (combined heat and power) assures a high degree of efficiency and a high performance coefficient of the eco-sensitive natural gas used to fuel the facility. The required generation capacities are consistently adapted to local needs. Heat is also supplied to customers outside the site.
On customer orders, the KWO energy specialists will service and maintain the air-conditioning systems in the resident companies' production sites. The installations are regularly inspected, operated, and serviced. In the event of failures and malfunctions, they will coordinate repair measures and will schedule maintenance work with the customer.
Power supply to customers always has maximum priority for us. To achieve this purpose, the various teams monitor the entire pipelines system and power grids including transformers and switching units on the entire premises. Based on elaborate maintenance strategies, we provide a high degree of economic efficiency and absolute reliability in utilities supply.
